@PAthena. To sum up your 'intelligent' argument: You compare human beings the most complex organisms on earth to a pair of morning doves, relate marriage to the sole purpose of reproduction, mistake the benefits of marriage offered such as medicare, inheritance of property, tax and social security benefits to those that a "roommate" could offer, and question the origin of homosexuality as a mental disturbance, (while obviously there are homosexuals so why would it matter). Furthermore, in no way do you attempt to support you first statement of how same sex mariage is an "attempt to destroy marriage". That sounds more like divorce, and same sex marriage will encourage commitment, the growth of families, and could even increase adoption rates.
Am I wrong here?

Thank you for the arguments about same sex"marriage." It is simply an attempt to destroy marriage, and ridiculous. Even the birds which nest on my balcony (mourning doves) know that marriage - mating - is between male and female for the purposes of reproduction. If adult members of the same sex want to live together, share expenses, etc., they can do so, without or with sexual relations. Think of all the people who have roommates.
Homosexuality is a mental disturbance; it was abolished from the list of psychiatric disorder by physical attacks at a meeting of the American Psychiatric Association - physical attacks prove nothing, as the Inquisition did not prove Galileo wrong when he argued that the earth revolved around the sun. It is not a genetic disorder, since, given Darwinian natural selection, it would be selected against. (From whom are homosexuals supposed to inherit their state?) I myself have identical twins in my family, one of whom was sexually abused as a child and became homosexual, the other is perfectly normal and has a family. (But those propounding the myth that homosexuality is genetic have not wanted to hear me.)
